His Story
Richard Albertson founded Live the Life in 1998 as a statewide, faith-based non-profit dedicated to strengthening marriages and families. Under his leadership, Leon County’s divorce rate dropped 48%-more than double Florida’s statewide reduction. After launching the Community Marriage Initiative in Jacksonville, independent research from Florida State University and University of Virginia documented a 28% divorce rate reduction in Duval County.
